ADMISSIONS: 5 EASY STEPS TO JOINING OUR COMMUNITY

Thank you for your interest in Northeast Stars Montessori Preschool. Our simple 5 step enrollment process helps make your family's transition into our community as easy and enjoyable as possible. If you have any questions about the admissions process please call the school at 202.399.2208.

 

Step 1: Initial Inquiry

We have a rolling admission process throughout the year. Timing of entry is based on the age of your child. 

 

Step 2: School Observation (Parents Only)

Schedule a visit to observe our school. This observation is for the parent only. You will be invited to spend time in our classroom. After the observation, you will have a chance to ask questions and speak with the Administrator or Director. Observations are scheduled on Thursdays at 9:30am. Observations last approximately 60 minutes.

 

Step 3: Submit Application

Submit the completed application form with the application fee. Your application will be acknowledged and if there is an opening for your child we will proceed with the enrollment process. We balance our classrooms by age and gender. If the program is full, you will be placed on the wait list. Don't not be discouraged is your child is put on the wait list because your position on the wait list Wait lists may seem daunting but your position on the list may change favorably quickly. We have many transient families that sign up but must leave when they are transferred to other parts of the country. Our rolling admission process makes it easier for a child to get started in our program.

 

Step 4: Child Visit

The administrator will contact you to schedule your child for a visit. The purpose is to determine the child's readiness, to familiarize your child with the environment and help determine the best classroom placement for your child.

 

Step 5: Submit Contract and Deposit

After your child's visit, you will receive a contract, Department of Health packet, parent handbook, and general information. Please complete the contract, make a copy for your records, and submit the original to the office with the specified deposit. Once the contract and deposit have been received, a place for your child will be reserved.
